DVD Frenzy, Part 56
Over the holidays, I watched a couple great Pedro Almodovar films on DVD: Talk to Her and Bad Eduction, both of which were way better than I expected--and really disturbing (in a good way!)  We've also been watching our way through the remastered Twin Peaks box set (first season = awesome).  It's too weird that the series aired so many years ago.  Even though I was about 14 when it was first on the air, I totally remember thinking it was great back then (well, at least the first season).  It's just as good now, and it's really addictive too.....  Okay, so now it's back to work on my next novel, which is coming along nicely, if I don't get distracted by the urge to watch more episodes!!

I, however, was nowhere near as hip as you when I was a teenager. I totally remember Twin Peaks the sensation and I remember seeing ads for it on ABC, but I thought it was way too creepy and terrifying (dead girl's body!!! yuck!) for me to watch. (pathetic dork!)

My thirtysomething self, however, is up for the weirdness! I'm totally addicted and I can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes ... with you! :)
